Competitions
Competition is part of the lifeblood of gaming, and In da 80’s is happy to stimulate some healthy, friendly competition between our guests with a selection of organised contests.
Overseen by competition supremo Mat Corne (aka Witchfinder), each of our competitions will be arranged by the organisers of one of our affiliated gaming events. These guys know what it takes to make a contest that is interesting, challenging and most of all fun, so we hope you'll all take part and enjoy them!
All competitions will be FREE to enter and a variety of prizes will be on offer. We’ll be in a position to confirm the exact competitions and prizes nearer the time (Matt is currently canvassing on the Retro Gamer forum, no fear), but expect something like the following and you’ll not be too far off;
- 80’s gaming tournament [Saturday]
- A Quartet Marathon [Saturday], as we take it in shifts to try and reach level 100 of this fiendish 4 player Sega arcade platformer
- Atari VCS knockout contest [Sunday]
- Multiplayer games, including the usual suspects like Bomberman and Warlords.
- Pac-Man Vs for Gamecube on a big screen
