Venue
The Lass O'Gowrie (www.thelass.co.uk) is a great pub located in the heart of Manchester. It's easy to reach by car, train or bus and won "Pub of the Year" at the Manchester Food & Drink Festival 2009 (www.foodanddrinkfestival.com) and is the reigning North-West Entertainment Pub of the Year in the Great British Pub Awards.
As well as offering a range of great beers (including several real ales) and excellent food (including the best pies in Manchester), the Lass is also well known to classic gaming fans with plenty of arcade machines on site including NARC, Donkey Kong, Phoenix, R-Type, Bomb Jack, Paperboy and Quartet. The pub also hosts the WART Show on a monthly basis, has a Magners Award nominated monthly comedy night ‘Jokein’ held on the first Saturday of the month, a weekly open Mic, a cosy book club and a monthly retro "Computer Club".

By Car
The venue is a few minutes from the A57(M), which is easily accessed via the surrounding Motorways. There are several car parks near to the Lass O'Gowrie, prices vary. The nearest is Charles Street Multi-Storey Car Park (0161 276 2449) - postcode for Sat Nav users is M1 3NJ.

NB you must leave before midnight or a full weekday 24 hour charge (£10) will apply on Saturday. However, there is plenty of free weekend parking on the streets near the venue on Saturday after 6pm and all day Sunday, so if you arrive on Saturday by car, we suggest you either use Charles Street Car Park for £2 during the day and then move your car after 6pm, or you could leave the car in there for the whole of Saturday and Sunday for £10.
